Cherie Lee is a Singaporean citizen who has spent 25 years of her life resident in the island state since 1st January 1986. She finds that her natural curiosity and love of learning has also contributed to her success to date. Her drive for knowledge has led to the field of psychology and armed with this expertise, she helps those around her as a Counsellor.
An avid baker, she can’t resist a good recipe and a lip-smacking meal. Cherie has a profound fondness for baking and she especially likes to create new recipes. She recently took home the Championship title for Wonder Chef 我要当食神 and Wonder Chef 我要当食神 PK 版. She has also published a 2009/2010 Organizer which featured recipes from her own collection and proceeds of the sales went towards the needy in China and Philippines. Other than baking, Cherie has other pursuits, such as Acting and Muay Thai. To her, Muay Thai is an excellent form of self defence as well as a great way to keep fit.
She graduated with a 4-year degree programme in Bachelor of Social Science at Singapore Management University, Double Majoring in Psychology and Marketing. She is proud to be awarded a Track in Culture, Organizations and Behaviour (COB). While at University, she spent her summers at BSH Home Appliances, a German Multi-National Company as a Marketing Communications Executive. She was responsible for the creation of new designs and the development of leaflets, catalogues, billboards, light-box for retail shops and all point-of-sales materials for Bosch and Gaggenau.
Graduating from the class of 2005 at Temasek Polytechnic, Cherie holds a Diploma in Business Process and Systems Engineering. She was also appointed as the Master of Ceremony at the prestigious World Café and as an Ambassador of Temasek Polytechnic. She also spearheaded new Service Standards requirements for Nokia and reviewed Nokia Quality Franchise Manual which was implemented in Thailand and Vietnam during her polytechnic education.
Keeping a blog has been a great way to stay connected with people. This kind of writing – so spontaneous and fluid – is an exciting medium for self-expression as she explores ideas and passes along discoveries and revelations. Any burning desire to ask, share or tell something? Leave a comment for Cherie :)
